A brown paper package sits on Ahrotahn's desk in Relto. It shakes and wobbles, giving the general impression that it is grievously annoyed.

She removes the cap and looks inside.

Inside, there is a piece of paper rolled up tightly. When unrolled, it proves to be a faded black-and-white photograph of a building.

On the opposite side, someone with spidery handwriting has scrawled "Rev. 6:05".

When the Lamb had opened the third seal, I heard the third creature say, "Come!"
I looked, and saw a black horse; and its rider held in his hand a pair of scales.

More likely, though, she'll need to set the clock hands (once she finds them) to read 6:05.

She tries to get a closer look at the glass/gem thing behind the unarmed knight.

It very much looks like it would fit the oval slot, if only she could actually reach it.

Can she stick the screwdriver back there to get it out? Or, failing that, can she hold the entire box upside down and shake it?

No and no. It seems to be rather solidly attached to the back of the knight.

And the unarmed knight still doesn't move.

Is it holding its hands/arms in a position that suggests a weapon could be added to complete the figure?

Are any of the various objects she's collected about the right size to serve as a reasonably-scaled weapon for the knight? Say, about half as long as the knight is tall.

No, unfortunately.

Though on further review, she recalls that none of the other notes she's found so far came in a metal tube...

No, it appears to be completely empty now that the paper has been retrieved.

Is the tube appropriately sized for a knight-weapon?

Can any of the other knights' weapons be removed and transferred?

She looks over the tube and its cap more closely, inside and outside, through the lens. Are there mysterious inscriptions? Perhaps a hidden compartment in the closed end?

The threads that held the cap onto the rest of the tube reverse direction halfway up.

How extremely mysterious.

What does the part of the tube look like that would mesh with the cap's threads?

The top of the tube is formed like the threads of a screw: the cap is formed like the threads of a nut, save that they reverse direction half-way.

... It does seem like rather an unnecessarily large cap, now that she considers it more closely.

She screws the cap back onto the tube clockwise, then tries turning it counterclockwise while pushing it on, to screw it on further in the reverse direction. If that turns out to be impossible, she tries turning it clockwise while pulling it off, to screw it off in the reverse direction.

Turning the cap the other direction while it's firmly attached to the rest of the tube causes the top to split outwards into six thin petals, revealing a tiny key.

Does the key fit the latch on the large flat panel on the right-hand side of the clock?

Yes, it does!

Within is another iridescent panel, with a sliding box and a rotating drum. When viewed through the lens, they extend into another hidden space, and have interesting lines on them.

Can she make the lines align into something coherent through a combination of sliding the box, rotating the drum, and moving her head to look from different angles?

After a certain amount of fiddling, the hexagonal glyph comes into focus once again -

And the entire panel is suddenly replaced. Now there is a small silver shield in the center of a metallic circle.

Can the shield be equipped on the knight?
