The locating spell pulls at his hip uncomfortably. The sensation was really grating at his nerves. He'd been following it for nearly two hours and his hangover wasn't making things easier.

The neighborhood around him was... nice. A bit too domestic for his tastes, really, but some people went for that sort of thing, he guessed.

Finally, finally, the magical pulling sensation grows to near painful levels, telling him that he was really bloody close. John pulls the taxi to the side of the road and gets out.

He was in Sunnydale. Great. Home of the bloody Hellmouth. Just a well that he would find the Slayer here. Just. His. Luck.

He walks over to the closest house and is rewarded with a sharp stab to his hip. Yup. Slayer was here.

John throws his smoke down on the perfectly manicured lawn and walks up to the door.

He knocks.

"He knows... something. Mentioned black magic and a vampire slayer."

Ezra's eyes narrow.

"Better let him go so we can hear what he has to say?"

[abodyinmotion]

"You never let me have any fun."

Arya releases John.

John brushes off his trench coat and scowls at the two.

"Really, that wasn't too hard, was it." He turns to the boy. "Ezra, was it?"

"Anthony, actually. But I prefer Ezra... and you are?"

[abodyinmotion]

"John Constantine... from the something council."

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"That's the Watchers Council, love. They're the lot that run around and help the Slayer slay things. And going from that feat of strength you pulled just now... you're the Slayer. 'Grats."

[abodyinmotion]

"I told you it was a magic destiny thing!" Arya says to Ezra "Can't believe the nightmares aren't clue enough to you."

[superego_medico]

Ezra pinches the bridge of his nose "Arya..." he mutters.

"Okay...What is the Slayer? Why Arya is one? Just... explain?!"

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"So the lot of it is, the Slayer is a girl that the Powers That Be chose and gave a whole bunch of mystical powers to in order for her to fight the powers of darkness. Mostly vamps, since there are a right lot of them."

[abodyinmotion]

"Powers That Be what?"

[superego_medico]

"What kind of powers the Slayer gets?"

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"The Powers That Be are old powerful higher beings that like to mess shit up an' upkeep the "balance" of good and evil in this dimension.

"Slayers get superhuman strength, as you so helpfully demonstrated, greater agility and better reflexes. They're harder to hurt than normal humans, an' when they do get hurt they heal real fast.

"They eventually are able to learn how to sense the presence of great evil, and demons in general.

"And then there's the dreams." He turns to Arya. "You've had them already?"

[abodyinmotion]

"No dreams yet, but... well..." Arya says turning to Ezra.

[superego_medico]

"I... am having them like crazy," Ezra says alarmed "nightmares every time I close my eyes, about past Slayers and monsters... There is an ancient looking Slayer that keeps saying things that could be threats or omens... or both."

[trenchcoatbrigade]

John frowns. "That's odd. Usually I would say you're a seer, or a clairvoyant, but if you're dreaming 'bout Slayers..." He pauses and looks between them. "How are you related exactly?"

[abodyinmotion]

"We are twins," They say in unison

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"That so? Well I suppose that the TPB got confused and shoved the dreams at the wrong person. Hell if I know, I'll have to do some divinin' to figure it out."

He winces and clutches his hip. "Right. Speakin' of magic." The locating spell continues to pulse in pain. He takes out a small vial of deep red and black liquid.

"Bottoms up." He drinks it all and makes a face.

"How... How do you shove dream powers in the wrong person?!"

[abodyinmotion]

"Well... Ezra, they are the higher powers, they are very high up so it is hard for them to see us here all the way down."

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"Maybe they did it on purpose, I won't know till I do a bit of magic, an' can't do that here without the proper ingredients. An' I don't rightly know how my magic will react with the Hellmouth this close. Last spell I did was outside town."

[superego_medico]

"What is the Hellmouth? Also explain better why are you here?"

[trenchcoatbrigade]

"Its a place where the barriers between the hell dimensions and this dimension is particularly weak. You get a load of otherworldly dark magicks and demons comin' through. It's nasty an' not a place that you want to be for a long period of time, messes you right up.

"I'm a part of the Watchers Council. We're a group of people that have taken upon ourselves to help the Slayer, train her an' aid her with killin' demons."

[abodyinmotion]

"Cool, I feel like Batman, except people come to train me instead of me going around the world... which would be much cooler."

Ezra just stares at his sister, completely speechless.
