It is very cozy and nice. Winghugs are good.

But after a few minutes, he decides he wants to make this fruit. He carefully disentangles himself, and picks a fruit from the nearest tree, and extracts a seed from it and eats the rest, and then he sits down on the ground. Edie is welcome to sit with him if she likes. ('With him' implicitly includes, but is not at all limited to, 'in his lap'.)

...Okay, actually being in his lap while he's not wearing any pants would be, um. A thing in a category that she has not yet decided to do.

Well, then, she can not do that. Unless she decides to. In the meantime he will be designing this tree, and showing her the process because why not.

He is very well practiced with this sort of thing. The feedback he gets from his magic is immensely complex, but he sorts through it like it's second nature, building a picture in his mind of the tree this seed will become and then seeing how the picture changes when he changes the seed.

As promised, the fruit will be blue. He plays around very freely with the rest of the design. Perhaps it will be clusters of berries sprouting from slender twigs, or perhaps round plumlike fruit hanging from graceful arching branches, or perhaps the whole tree will have a sort of spiral to it - yes, that's interesting, he likes that. Spirals in the roots, spirals in the grain of the bark, spirals in the internal structure, and branches flowing naturally from those spirals to curve around the outside of the tree, angled upward at first but bending with the weight of their fruit. It's very pretty. Does she like it?

And that is some fantastically impressive genetic work, wow.

He has practice.

It is gorgeous practice. She has rarely seen a lovelier biome.

Aw. He is glad she likes it.

Tree tree tree - now he's tweaking little details. The bark will be white, with a silvery sheen that he thinks goes well with the blue fruit, and the leaves will be a pale bluish green with a matching silvery shimmer.

Delightful. She snuggles a little closer in to his side.

She is going to carry bits of this plant everywhere and let botanists be utterly confused over it.

It's fun to design trees!

And after a few more revisions to the shape of the leaves and the growth cycle, he reaches forward and plants the seed in the ground, where his magic makes it grow immediately into a tall beautiful tree with lovely round blue fruit.

So she reaches out and plucks one and takes a bite.

...Yeah, you're going to have to excuse her a moment, layered on top of the giddiness she was already feeling, there is too much yes, she has no can.

He giggles and hugs her.

She's going to be a minute recovering.

And then she's going to kiss him.

Aw! That is delightful and she is delightful. Look at all this delight.

They could create a feedback loop if they're not careful.

But it would be such a delightful feedback loop.

But then perhaps both of them would have no can, and the kissing is delightful too!

Well. He is going to kiss her, and share his many delights with her, and if this leads to a delightful feedback loop then they can just snuggle and be delighted and he does not think that would be so bad.

His magic has more potential applications than just finding out what foods she would like best to eat.

Okay, she is going to need to make decisions now. If this is going to happen it's going to happen because she decided to, not because she got carried away.

Yes. Endarkened can have children with other species, and he knows how, but it would require the deliberate application of magic to make it work.
