Temple wakes up suddenly, his hand automatically going to his abdomen as he raises from the ground...

...Then he notices the lack of pain and the entirely new surroundings.

A new world, which means that he saved Rajir but his former body got sacrificed in the process. Temple is unlikely to see Rajir or the others ever again, without a proper goodbye this time.

There is no point in feeling miserable, his friends and students are safe, just distant.

Temple decides to be practical. He feels and locates traces of magic coming from that way and follows them until he finds himself knocking on a door of a solitary building.

"PERFECTLY HEALTHY FOOD." Temple casts as an after-thought, "That should solve any potential allergies or other problems. The other dishes are all meant to copy american cuisine."

"Wow. There's no way we're going to finish all that. Did Wikipedia tell you about leftovers and refrigerators?"

"There are spells to conserve food or even restore it after going bad. Making less wouldn't be significantly easier. I can make the leftovers outright disappear if it is too much of a problem."

"No, refrigerators are totally a thing. They keep food cold so it stays good longer. It's not a problem."

"Great! I am going to take so many notes about your technology! I hope you are hungry."

The food is delicious, even the dinosaur meat.

The food continues being delicious, but it is too much soon they have to put the leftovers away and Clean the dishes.

"I feel like I could stay up well past midnight, but I should keep to reasonable hours. Do you think we have time to practice the ritual one more time before going to bed?"

They practice the ritual one more time. Temple writes down hundreds notes before falling asleep in the quest room. The night passes quietly and Temple wakes just before dawn, he doesn't leave the bed, instead starting a divinatory trance.

One hour later he peeks out of the bedroom. Is Andrea up already?

Well, it's not immediately obvious just from poking his head out of his room, but if he cares to look around more thoroughly, Andrea can be found in the library.
