"They will react as anyone might to a tremendously powerful speech given by a great orator."

"So, afterwards it -- consistently? -- seems like a very powerful speech given by a great orator? And they react -- what do you mean by 'as anyone might'?"

[shadopolis]

"Yes. People are different from other people. I cannot list every reaction a person might have to hearing a great speech."

"So they react as they otherwise would to hearing it? Can you give me a range and -- distribution of reactions? How common are people strong-willed enough to resist the effect, and what does it look like to them?"

"Yes, no, I do not know."

More questions-- "Will the social augment always be active when speaking to groups of people over that threshold, or is it optional? Does it have any side effects you have not previously mentioned?"

"I do not have personal experience using this augment. It is optional. No."

She takes a moment to consider. "What part of the Tome of Death's power cannot be turned off? How common are the dead it interacts with?"

"You cannot stop seeing the dead. They are very common."

"...and why are the dead very common?"

[shadopolis]

"Because many people die."

[space_between]

"Yes, but 'common' implies a greater density than the usual unless you mean something different or the dead remain for a very long time. --What exactly do you mean by common, and how long do the dead remain? And.. What are the top ten causes of death the relevant world?"

"They are common enough to be seen in every house and building. I do not know how long they remain, or what the top ten causes of death in the new world are."

Hm. "Are there causes of death in that world that do not occur in this one, or ones that are much more common than here?"

"Yes, of course, it is a different world."

"What are they?"

"I don't know."

"The vast majority of them are due to differences in technology and magic between my world and yours."
