Once the calibrator is set up and they are back in Terraria, Emily will begin to educate him in the basics of how electronic devices work if he likes!

Sivath is entirely oblivious to any shipping that may be going on. He is here to learn about exciting technologies.

Well, if they knew she was doing it, it would be less "shipping" and more "intrusive matchmaking." And that would be unhelpful.

It would be so unhelpful! Instead of that: electronics.

Electronics! Conveniently, electricity can be generated via magnetism. This will involve explaining magnetism better than she did to explain how she flies. She will also explain how to make batteries out of things like a lemon or a potato. She is not the teacher in the family (she is the not-a-teacher in the family) so her explanations are a little clumsy, but she gets the point across.

It is all very interesting and Sivath is very interested.

Emily is interested in explaining! She is beginning to understand why her sister finds teaching such a rewarding job.

They do have to break for dinner eventually. (Sivath has more mushrooms and fish, and also some blueberries gathered from outside.)

"Blueberries, yum. Blueberries are a fruit, and fruits go well with chocolate. Would you like to try chocolate, Sivath?"

"Yes please!"

There is a word for it in his language, so, logically, he must have heard of it. But never had any.

Well, he can definitely have some now.
He's a virgin, so Emily decides to be gentle; just plain chocolate without nougat or caramel or peanut butter or what have you.

Sivath approves of chocolate.

Emily also approves of chocolate, but fresh fruit isn't something they can really haul around in a bag with them. She will have blueberries. And fish.
She will probably start getting sick of fish if she has it too much more often, but she is not trapped in Terraria, so she doesn't have to do that.

And then dinner is over (alas! No more chocolate today!) and it's dark outside and they may as well go to sleep and check on the calibrator tomorrow.

May as well, yes.
Depending on how early Sivath chooses to get up, he may or may not find that Edie has gotten up sooner. Either way, the first thing she does is change into running clothes and start doing laps outside the house again.

He gets up a little before dawn and goes star-collecting, just like always. So he probably sees her when he comes back.

"I found more blueberries," he says, since this is bound to be more relevant to her than his supply of fallen stars.

"Cool," she says, slowing down so she doesn't just zip past him. "Thank you."

"It's no trouble. Do you think the calibrator will be finished soon?"

[whatamithinking]

"Yeah."
She's not very talkative while she's using most of her breath for aerobic exercise.

That is all he wanted to ask anyway. He goes inside.

Emily is still asleep, or at least she hasn't admitted otherwise to herself yet.

Well, then, Sivath puts the blueberries on a table and sits quietly and thinks about architecture.

After a while Emily will admit to being awake. She wanders over. "G'morning."
