sigh "So you didn't hear it from me, but my sister sort of has a complex about making sure our loved ones are safe. Mostly because there are some ways in which she really really takes after Dad. And Dad failed to save his mother because his powers weren't well enough developed yet. And that wasn't his fault, and it's certainly not Edie's fault she couldn't save that alt of Dad, but to her it was like the multiverse was slapping her in the face with a mirror of her worst fears."

"No kidding."

"Yeah."

[iamnotpolaris]

"I mean, she's fine most of the time. She's happy most of the time. But she's got a lot of buttons to push."

"I think Tialle's Demon will be good for her, though, if the sickeningly adorable cuddling is anything to go by."

"Is it weird that the chainmail made it more adorable, not less? Blue and red and purple..."

"I wonder whether finding out the multiverse was mostly Ceirene was anything like finding out the multiverse was mostly not mutants."

"I think it was probably similar."

[iamnotpolaris]

"Yeah. It might have been kind of awkward if Edie or I had had wings and enough miscommunication had happened."

"Hmm?"

[iamnotpolaris]

"Oh, I mean, if you has said something like, 'these aren't my real wings' and the relevant one of us had said 'mine are' or similar, and then enough explaining didn't happen, you might have walked around for a while thinking we were your kind of winged person."

"Oh. Yes. That would've ended up being really confusing."

[iamnotpolaris]

"No kidding. But we don't, so. Of course, even if we did it might have been a stretch for that much lack of communication to happen."

"Yes."

[iamnotpolaris]

"It's just amusing to think about, given that both our worlds have people who have wings under such different circumstances. I don't think I've ever heard of a mutant who had a pocket universe, though."

"Which is one of the reasons it probably wouldn't have held up for long. I would ask you why you didn't just walk home through your Sphere, and you would be confused."

"Yes. So it probably wouldn't actually have led to a comedy of errors. Ah well."
